Summary
Do you have experience developing sales plans, identifying crucial markets, and experience training and coordinating effective/productive employees? American National is seeking a Full-Time, Agriculture & Commercial Lines Field Specialist, (Remote) position, ideally located in our new area(s) of development; Oregon, Washington, Idaho.
Responsibilities
* The Ag & Commercial Lines Field Specialist has overall responsibility for ag and commercial lines of business in assigned territories * Accountable for the production and profitability results in assigned territories * Working in the field with agents quoting, field underwriting and submitting new ag and commercial lines business, assisting agents with servicing existing business as necessary * Works closely with Regional Directors and Multiple Line General Agents (MLGAs) on the development, implementation, and execution of marketing and sales plans, while also establishing and tracking annual goals and objectives for agricultural and commercial lines in assigned territories * Directly coordinating with Marketing – Agencies Administration, Marketing Programs, Advertising and Communications, Marketing Education, Training and Support Departments as well as P&C Operations and Underwriting Division, Research & Development and Actuarial * Provides, support and/or coordinates field training of agents on agricultural and commercial lines products and programs offered by American National * Provides field training on company systems, underwriting and business practices
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred-Insurance Industry experience may be may be considered in lieu of degree * Strong experience/knowledge in P&C insurance industry (field and/or home office operations) is strongly preferred, ag and/or commercial lines knowledge/experience strongly preferred, P&C agent or broker licenses in states of operation required, P&C insurance designations (AFIS and CPCU desirable) * Valid driver's license required * Excellent communication (written and verbal), customer service, training and presentation skills are essential, strong interpersonal, organizational and decision making skills, as well as the ability to work independently and have impeccable time management skills, Field marketing knowledge and the ability to interact with agents, clients, CSRs, and field management is essential
