Summary
American Girl, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mattel, is opening soon at the King of Prussia Mall in Philadelphia (King of Prussia). We are currently recruiting for a dynamic leader to be the Retail Store Manager to lead the team during this short-term assignment.
Responsibilities
* Customer Service: Ensure exceptional service procedures are followed. Role model customer service for store population. Maintains sales floor presence. Support storewide customer service training initiatives. Support hiring of customer service oriented staff members. * Staff Development: Write and conduct timely performance evaluations, and developmental plans. Identify opportunities for professional development of management team. Identify training and developmental needs of managers and staff associates; partner with human resources to coordinate necessary action plans. Meet weekly with human resources to discuss staff performance and address employee relations concerns. * Merchandise Sales/Replenishment/Development: Monitor inventory sell through and seasonal forecasts; review inventory reports for accuracy. Review department sales results daily; motivate sales managers and associates to achieve revenue plans. * Leadership: Operates with a global perspective. Drives for results by keeping team focused and motivated. Fosters “best practices” sharing. Collaborate with other American Girl retail stores in the execution of business strategies. Communicate effectively. Executive presence and spirit. * Management Schedules: Prepare management work schedule to meet business needs and monitor all payroll related to retail team.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or retail preferred. * Five years’ experience supervising other managers. * 7 years retail management experience.
