Summary
We are seeking an energetic, results driven Sales Manager. The Sales Manager will be responsible for overall management of assigned Albertsons Companies market(s) to drive achievement of targets, generating new business opportunities, managing the business unit operations and achievement of client deliverables. You will be tasked with successfully managing, leading and supporting the Sales team to expand client growth. Your excellent people skills will be instrumental in key client interactions and client relationship management at the executive/managerial level on a nationally. Your ability to build, motivate and lead a highly engaged sales team and demonstrated ability to deliver results will be the key to your success. Responsibilities
* Management of assigned market(s), achieving the market’s Profit and Loss (“P&L”) targets, generating new business opportunities, and managing the business unit operations. * Management of the team members responsible for achieving client deliverables related to each client’s budget and objectives. * Identify revenue opportunities and align business unit resources to gain those new revenue opportunities. * Build and nurture strong customer relationships at the mid to senior level of the organization; help sales associates establish a pattern of regular communication and business reviews to create “raving fans” of our customers. * Manage talent to meet future business needs by identifying high potential(s) within the team, create and implement individual development plans for high potential(s), identify a successor, and effectively manage associates who are not satisfactorily achieving ASM, client, and/or customer performance/business objectives.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's Degreeor equivalent experience. * Experience in sales, consumer packaged goods, and/or food brokerage organization or equivalent. * 5 years successfully managing a P&L, budgeting and forecasting, and managing client expectations either personally or through a team. * 5 years previous experience with managing direct reports. * Ability to exude confidence with and gain trust of clients and internal business partners and staff; experience and comfort with executive/managerial level client interactions. * Strong people management skills. * Outstanding written and oral communication skills. * Working knowledge of syndicated data. * Ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and poise with colleagues, team members, staff, clients, and customers. * Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
