Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor, 2nd shift will be responsible for supervising hourly Maintenance Mechanics and/or any parts Clerks in the daily maintenance and preventative maintenance needs of the facility.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and manage the day-to-day operations of equipment * Overseeing budgeting and expenses * Coordinate activities and maintain a good working relationship with other departments and/or contractors as needed to ensure good relations and project completion in a timely fashion * Managing records * Preparing reports as necessary * Ensure fair and consistent compliance to policies and procedures as set forth in our handbook * Supervise, support, and lead by example all subordinate employees * Perform project development tasks for facility * Hire and train maintenance staff; hold regular staff meetings and staff schedules. * Coordinate mechanical staff training. * Ensure that staff maintains the highest level of technical competency and initiative to assure benchmark level performance. * Work with Corporate Maintenance, Safety, and Training Departments to develop training programs for maintenance staff that insures continued growth and improvement. * Staff and schedule department to minimize overtime and maximize efficiencies, * Be fiscally responsible in department, facility, and company as a whole. * Allow for and be a participant of ongoing innovations and process improvements. * Lead by example: morally and ethically. * Utilize leadership and teambuilding skills for employee growth and retention. * Continue education and training to allow for personal growth and identifying current * industry trends that enhance Advance food Company and the individual. * Directly supervise up to 9 employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Ideal Candidate
**Knowledge Skills and Abilities** * Ability to learn and perform more complex Ross computer commands and routines. * Ability to demonstrate more advanced use of computers including sound understanding of networks, the Internet, and beyond basic word processing and spreadsheet usage skills. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee must climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl 0-33% of the time. The employee must stand, walk, and sit 34-66% of the time. The employee must use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear 67-100% of the time. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds 34-66% of the time. **Education/Experience** * Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university that has been accredited by the Department of Education; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Prefer Engineering background.
