Software Engineer

Adicio develops interactive classified advertising software solutions for the careers, motors, real estate and general classifieds markets, which serve the Internet’s leading media companies and web portals.

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our top-notch engineering team. Our team is comprised of varying levels of experience and backgrounds, from new grads to industry veterans. Relevant industry experience is important, but ultimately less so than your demonstrated abilities and attitude. You can help create large-scale web applications that reach millions of people in a high volume, fast paced environment.

As a goal-driven Sr. Software Engineer you will directly contribute to the continued success of the company. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining dynamic web sites within a cross-functional team. The ideal candidate has the ability to work in a fast paced team environment, be familiar with PHP, database development and Object Orientated development, and have the ability to meet deadlines within a timely manner.

• Work closely within a cross-functional team to define feature specifications.
• Design and build new features, or enhance existing features, in our industry-leading classified advertising SaaS platform.
• Research, compare and help select appropriate technology or solutions, including open source
• Create advanced backend systems and APIs using primarily PHP.
• Create and maintain bash scripts to support many areas on the application.

• Demonstrate a solid knowledge of PHP, MySQL, PostGreSQL, OOP, ORM, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other web technologies.
• Knowledge and experience with high performing SQL schema and query design and optimization.
• Experience with Model View Controller frameworks (Symfony).
• Knowledge of object orientated design and development, and an understanding of high throughput and scalable web and database architecture.
• Experience using and designing standardized libraries, including both internal and external API’s.
• Performs other work related activities as required to meet corporate objectives.
