Professional Services Engineer

We’re looking for product developers with customer-facing experience who want more direct customer interaction and experience. It’s important to be a careful listener, with the ability to demonstrate knowledge and professionalism throughout customer engagements. Successful candidates will have a Computer Science/Engineering degree and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Professional Services. - Understand the customer’s needs - Capture the customer’s expectations, explicit and implicit - Document needs, expectations, requirements, architecture, and related information - Build and execute project plans - Implement delivery projects - Excellent interpersonal skills

- Very strong product or services development skills - A can-do flexibility where no task is too large or too small - Prepared to assist outside of the “job description” - Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks - An ability to get the job done on time to required quality - Strong communication, presentation, and technical writing skills in English - Strong project management skills - Machine learning development (ANN, Convolutional Nets, etc.) - Kernel development (C/C++, ASM, etc.) - Script development (Python, Ruby, PHP, Java, etc.) - Database/storage knowledge (MySQL, NoSQL, Postgres, Pig, Hive, HDDB, etc.) - Parallel processing knowledge (OpenCL, Cuda, OpenMP, MPI, etc.) - Distributed processing knowledge (Hadoop, Spark, Presto, etc.) - Data transport knowledge (TCP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, etc.) - Data format/serialization knowledge (JSON, XML, Protocol Buffers, etc.) - Data analysis tools (Datameer, Platfora, SAS, etc.) - Data statistics and visualization - Performance analysis - Business Intelligence products, dashboards, and reporting tools
