Responsibilities
* Provide support to Financial Reporting and Fund Administration departments on the implementation and configuration of the companys proprietary software for the preparation of mutual fund financial statements. Monitor production throughout the preparation of the financial statements and provide clients with on-going support for document management, EDGAR filing, automated composition, and process workflow. Gain experience with other services provided to the investment management industry including; document composition, EDGAR and XBRL filings with the SEC, printing & distribution, and e-delivery. * Work assignments are often routine but on occasion may be non-routine and require deviation from accepted practice and procedures to complete given wide variety of circumstances encountered in the job. Work is reviewed primarily for end results and is performed under general guidelines or procedures which include administrative directives in the form of rules, policies, and established precedents pertinent to the assignment. * Participate on project teams for the implementation and configuration of new and existing customers. Configure systems/templates related to financial reporting and content management software implementations for new clients to meet specific requirements. This includes initial setup, data discovery, data manipulation and mapping, and output design functions in support of client implementation efforts. Projects are typically 3-6 months in duration. * Provide day to day support of the systems for the customer and answer questions or assist in resolving data and formatting issues, provide recommendations on new/unique situations pertaining to styles or data, and process more difficult changes/requests. * Troubleshoot client issues with the systems and work to resolve functionality related issues and escalate technical issues to the appropriate response teams. * Testing and trouble-shooting as necessary for application releases and issue resolution. Assist with version upgrades and UAT testing to ensure a seamless product migration. Provide feedback on product functionality and enhancements based on interactions with customers. * Shared learned skills with others and actively participate in on-going development and efficiency of the team/department.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors degree preferred (Ideally, Business/Finance/Accounting major) with financial services internship experience and/or 1-3 years of relevant mutual fund reporting/accounting/financial services/operations or corporate office environment directly related to the duties of the job, OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of work experience. May possess additional education certification in this level. * Requires very good knowledge of functional area(s) related to the job or good knowledge related to a professional field of work. Able to follow applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives when carrying out the duties of the job.
