Research, analyze and present competitive analyses and recommendations based on market comparisons and market trends to support the growth of company products’ market share.
- Gather and interpret data, formulate reports, create product price comparisons and make recommendations based upon research findings.
- Utilize all available programs to provide the most up-to-date and comprehensive competitive analysis for business planning and strategy.
- Assess client’s promotional needs and create questionnaires and surveys to collect data on customers, competitors and market place. Consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations.
- Examine marketing campaigns’ returns on investment.
- Create and maintain market data databases.
- Generate reports that analyze competition and customers.
- Maintain an active list of external customers to provide current pricing updates.
- Evaluate market penetration with market share data.
- Analyze marketing metrics to identify cause-and-effect relationships.
- Assist with customer and corporate event planning
- Collect and organize product specifications and literature for print and electronic media
- May perform other duties as assigned
- Proven market research and sales analysis experience.
- Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must possess a working knowledge of data warehousing, modelling and mining.
- Ability to use MS Excel to manage develop tables, perform analysis and convert to other file formats for presentations.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of General Database software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
- SAP experience is a plus.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Related Field
Years of Experience
Minimum of 1 year related work experience
