The Senior Manager Development is responsible for leading the creation and management of software products across current and emerging technology platforms for his/her assigned business vertical. These business verticals bring together similar business functions as identified below. **Marketing & Analytics** The primary focus of this position is to provide the Development Team with expertise and thought leadership on design, development, and support of Zoro technical business solutions.

* Relationship Management - Build strong relationships with the leaders of their assigned business units. - Maintain intimate knowledge of the business plans of their assigned business units. - Provide the strategic and tactical direction and priorities to the supporting teams (i.e., NetSuite, Operations, IT) and oversee the execution against these plans and objectives. - Influence the strategic thinking of the Customer Service, Supply Chain and Finance leaders to make the management of goals and objectives integral to their planning and operations. * Development Management - Develop and maintain Zoro’s software development framework by documenting software development processes, procedures and key measures. - Lead the creation and project management of software products that will integrate on existing websites, third party software, and new and emerging platforms. - Demonstrate expertise in relevant Internet technology trends. - Stay abreast of key developments in the software and cloud industries and among competitors and use this knowledge to influence strategic thinking, innovation and the use of emerging technologies. * Team Management - Select, develop, manage, and coach a Development Team that is capable of building relationships with business leaders. - Create an environment oriented to trust and open communication. - Encourage creativity, risk-taking and constant improvement. - Maintain healthy group dynamics. - Recognize and celebrate team and team member accomplishments and exceptional performance.

**Qualifications** * Extensive experience building web apps * Understand the lifecycle of a web applications fully - browser side, server side, scalability, and performance * Understanding of information security regarding eCommerce and web applications * Programming - ability to read/write enterprise quality code and make right decisions * Full stack experience from front end all the way to DB persistence * Generalist programmer with the ability to quickly learn and use new languages * Design and develop scalable, secure and high performance solutions * Has worked with AWS and its different building blocks * Experience working with relational and non-relational databases and data warehouses; MySQL, AWS RDS and RedShift are preferred * At ease working with Linux * Experience developing and supporting ERP platforms. NetSuite platform experience is a plus * Experience with utilization and integration of SaaS platforms * Significant data manipulation and ETL experience is a must * Customer relationship management application experience is a plus * Must be an intelligent, articulate and persuasive team member who can effectively work with leadership team and who is able to communicate concepts to a broad range of business and technical staff. * Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills * Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in within the operations of Zoro technical solutions **Experience/Education** * Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience * 5+ Years of Django and Python experience * 3+ years working in an agile development environment * 3+ years web application development experience * 3+ years cloud experience, AWS is preferred
