Lead Software Engineer

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will work (and own) challenging software engineering problems that can help revolutionize the digital marketing landscape. You will own a problem from the beginning, partner with different functional groups and peers to define and understand it in a fast paced and iterative environment, and then lead execution on its solution. You will inspire others in the team with your work and creativity.

• Display a passion for coding
• Own problems, develop solutions and mentor and inspire other developers
• Wear multiple hats in a sprint cycle, from a product owner to an architect to a coder
• Innovate and collaborate as part of a larger multi-location Engineering Team
• Interface directly with other functional groups, including our customers, product management and DevOps to identify and define features. In other words, own what you build!

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years experience or Masters degree with 2+ years experience
• High proficiency with Core Java and object oriented design
• Experience developing data-centric, web-based applications (Apache, Tomcat, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS)
• Experience in Service Oriented Architecture
• Experience with MySQL, Spring and Hibernate
• Experience with Agile software development
• Experience with unit testing - JUnit, mocking or other test libraries
• Experience working in a devops environment in the cloud such as AWS
• Proficiency in design patterns and practical applications of them
• Strong communications skills
• Desire to learn and work with new technologies - big data technologies, Cloud applications (AWS), RDSs, DevOps mindset
