Cost Accountant

This role is responsible for pre-month-end close and month-end close activities. In addition, the Cost Accountant supports management with cost and inventory reporting, analysis and maintenance. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the development, installation, and monitoring of cost control systems, the analysis and distribution of cost information to the businesses.

* Develops, analyzes, and maintains item costs. * Performs month-end close duties including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and transfer price analysis. * Assists in the reporting and payment of software royalties owed to 3rd parties * Prepares quarterly warranty provision analysis and present to management. * Prepares monthly cycle count reports. * Performs cycle count audits, analysis, and reporting as needed. * Prepares analytical reports on an as-needed basis, partner with business units, respond to requests. * Assists in quarterly calculation of cost change reserves/obsolete reserves. * Prepares intercompany markup and transfer pricing. * Performs annual physical inventory audits. * Assists in the calculation, review/analysis of overhead and labor rates. * Supports system implementations. * Monitor internal financial controls to ensure compliance with SOX 404 requirements, correct any issues as they occur. * Performs other duties as assigned.

* Bachelor’s Degree - Accounting (preferred) * Ability to work independently and capable of multi-tasking * Professional written and oral communications skills
