Visual Designer

Zappos is a service company that sells shoes, clothing and more!

Responsibilities:

• Design sets of weekly promotional/hero messaging creative for the website and weekly promotional emails under short deadlines
• Website skinning consistent with the website's style guide
• Partner with other visual designers to create and grow the site of attribute based icon treatments
• Execution of many yet unknown day-to-day web design needs that will certainly arise
• A fair amount of illustration work may be required
• Optimizing graphics for web consumption, less KBs is more.
• Work hand in hand with our A/V team to create stunning motion graphics and crisp typography

Qualifications:??

• Solid Adobe Creative Suite (CC) Skills primarily in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign for print and whatnot
• Motion graphics and animation experience is a HUGE plus
• Master understanding of color, space, and typography
• Eagle-esque eye for detail and a proven track record producing consistent clean icons, graphics, and layouts for web
• Well versed in development tradeoffs between speed, design, flexibility and the underlying page architecture. We like designers that understand this stuff
• Ability to work/adjust in crazy fast-paced environment and keep forward thinking momentum
• Passion for leading/inspiring creativity, cooperation and collaboration amongst team members
• Problem-solving skills that translate business objectives into interactive application concepts
