Email Marketing Coordinator

Zappos is an online retailer specializing in shoes. In addition to shoes they sell handbags, clothing, eyewear, watches and accessories. The company is currently based in Henderson, NV, with a warehouse in Shepherdsville, KY. In addition, Zappos has a small number of brick-and-mortar outlet stores. The name Zappos is derived from the Spanish word zapatos, meaning shoes.

* Accountable for the day-to-day, hands on execution of inspirational and profitable emails – owning the process from strategy, planning, execution and analysis * Collaborating with account executives, copywriters and the creative teams * Coordinating and analyzing existing email marketing programs * Contributing to the development and ongoing management of email communications/marketing * Exploring improvements to the program and exploiting growth opportunities to meet company KPIs * Setting campaign objectives, providing testing recommendations and hypothesis * Optimizing campaigns through A/B and multivariate testing * Presenting and analyzing campaign and test results * Monitoring list growth and quality * Contributing to periodic tactical and strategic planning * Creating a monthly/quarterly calendar of email themes, stories and content using historical and predictive data to inform each of them * Creating curated links based on segmentation and inventory position * Creating highly segmented lists relevant to email content * Monitoring and reporting of performance across Zappos' websites

* Four year degree, preferably in marketing * Experience with eCommerce and/or online marketing programs * 2 year relevant experience in email marketing & an understanding of various stages of customer lifecycle * Passion for email marketing * Understanding A/B and multivariate testing * Advanced Microsoft Excel experience * Strong analytical skills * Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, adapt quickly in a fast-paced work environment and be proactive * Excellent time-management skills * Self-motivated, resourceful and able to work independently with little supervision * Ability to develop rapport and positive working relationships with immediate coworkers and supporting teams * Strong communication skills, strong worth ethic, optimistic attitude * Very strong organization, problem solving, and interpersonal skills * Experience with ExactTarget, Responsys, SilverPop, HTML, Mailchimp, ReturnPath
