Terminal Manager - II

The Terminal Manager leads and manages all activities related to the functioning of the service center in order to meet or exceed customer expectations and to achieve facility and company goals for operating revenue, growth, and service for the service area. In addition, the Terminal Manager establishes and maintains an effective relationship with the local union, while also managing the service center staff to ensure that dock managers, service team managers, service coordinators, planners, and other members of the service center staff are positioned properly, are well-qualified, and compliant with the company and government regulations related to the working environment and safety.

The Terminal Manager is a champion for safety and the productivity improvements process in the service center, and is responsible for facilitating education and training programs to motivate employees to improve performance and quality of work processes and to develop management personnel for promotion while also managing turnover at acceptable levels. All of this while also directing the accurate and timely processing of all information to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction and compliance with company procedures.

**Requirements:** * 5 to 10-years management experience in the freight industry or applicable management experience. * Knowledge and understanding of dock operations. * Coaching skills are required, as well as the ability to train and develop a team. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience in a union environment preferred. * College degree preferred.
