Senior Designer of Interactive Digital and Marketing

Uses proficiency in the profession to lead team in creating, developing and executing project work. Ensures branding standards are consistent and maintained across design projects. Works with Project Manager/Production Coordinator on timely and accurate delivery of creative assets and files across group. Leads the design on more complex design work for web-based promotions, page layouts, and other creative assets.

* Leads the teams’ creative design activities in assigned subject area(s). Creates, develops and executes quality art and design layout solutions for complex on-line content, including but not limited to promotions, page layouts and other creative assets. * Translates program, product and service specifications and creative direction into design concepts, art and designs. * Contributes to the development of artistic, design concepts, and determining artistic formats prior to their execution. * Ensures designs are within the specifications and concepts determined by the art director or creative director. * Ensures branding standards are consistent, maintained and in-line with design and brand standards across Walgreens digital touch points in order to maintain corporate identity * Executes artistic design and layout solutions with a high level of proficiency and artistry, including icons, color schemes, interface features and transitions. * Mentors and coaches less experienced team members. * Utilizes proficiency in most areas of the profession to anticipate and prevent problems and roadblocks before they occur. * Contributes to meetings with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information related to projects. Contributes to meetings facilitated by business area or project initiator to understand the goals and objectives throughout the stages of a project. * Leads team in the management of timeliness, milestones and internal detail on project work to ensure timely delivery of design work.

**Basic Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or Visual Arts and at least 6 years of experience working as a Graphic Designer or above OR a High School Diploma / GED and at least 8 years of experience working as a Graphic Designer or above. * At least 4 years of experience performing the design of projects from concept to completion. * Experience working on marketing, and advertising projects * Experience communicating ideas to business owners, stakeholders and senior management in order to persuade, gain acceptance, or sell. * Advanced level skill with Adobe Illustrator (for example: including working with the paintbrush tool, advanced transparency, managing symbols, creating 3-d effects, working with live effects, working with graphic styles, adding effects, saving and printing options, creating outlines). * Advanced level skill with Photoshop (for example: including creating website graphics, working with gradients, working with perspective, adding artistic filters, working with shapes, filtering, removing a background, using photo merge, and managing color). * Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state). **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working at an Agency as a Graphic Designer. * Experience using various web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, Flash, and JavaScript.
