Copywriter

VSCO® is an art and technology company empowering and inspiring people everywhere to create, discover, and connect. Founded in 2011, VSCO is based in Oakland, CA, and is the parent company to Denver-based printing outpost, Artifact Uprising.

We are looking for a Copywriter to be the creative writing lead for the VSCO brand. This person will play an integral role in the development of the VSCO voice and messaging for the brand, our community and our partners. They will excel in a fast-paced, creative-driven environment and want to be a major contributor to a growing team.

• Lead copywriting for VSCO marketing team campaigns and programs which include positioning, brand campaigns, product launch messaging, social media posts, videos, brochureware, narratives and partnership programs
• Copywriting of headlines, short and long form content for all media channels
• Partner with creative teams in the concepting and ideation of new marketing programs
• Integral part of creating/evaluating the voice/tone of the brand

• MFA/MA in writing or BA/FA degree in English, Communications or Advertising
• 4+ years of copywriting experience at a marketing agency or client-side
• Ability to write creatively and strategically
• Desire to work in a collaborative, cross-functional organization
• Portfolio featuring work examples

Nice to have

• A deep appreciation for photography and/or other aspects of the arts would be greatly valued
• Strong writing and concepting skills
• Ability to deliver under tight deadlines
