Accounts Payable Clerk

Volt Information Sciences, Inc. (the “Company” or “Volt”) is a global provider of staffing services (traditional time and materials-based as well as project-based), managed service programs, technology outsourcing services and information technology infrastructure services.

Job Purpose:

• Assist Accounting Department with accounts payable and other areas of Accounting as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Day to day functions):

• Process Accounts Payable. Full-cycle Accounts Payable responsibility.
• Utilize Deltek GCS Premier to set up vendors, process payments, prepare check runs, distribute/mail checks.
• Prepare 1099s at Year End.
• Perform reconciliations as necessary.
• Assist in other areas of Accounting as needed: prepare invoices for submission; post payments; prepare/enter monthly G/L entries; perform bank reconciliations
• Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
• Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested
• Minimum Experience, Education and Licensure:
• High School Degree or equivalent required
• Associate's Degree OR 4 years of experience in accounts payable in lieu of Associate's Degree
• At least 2 years previous experience in accounting processing accounts payable
• Computer skills required: GCS Premier and MS Office Suite
