Summary
The role’s primary responsibility is to ensure proper revenue accounting and financial record keeping is maintained by the Company’s general ledger.
Responsibilities
* Assist in developing and documenting key controls of revenue-related policies and procedure, such as order to cash cycle, accurate GAAP reporting and audit requirements in accordance to ASC 605 and ASC 606 * Own and support the timely and accurate recognition of revenue related to revenue stream during the monthly close process meeting all deadlines. * Assist with the Company’s monthly close and reporting process including preparation of journal entries, account analysis and reconciliation of revenue and related accounts and other assigned accounts * Analyze and research revenue accounting matters, providing accurate and comprehensive documentation of issues identified and resolutions reached. * Prepare and review journal entries as well as maintain reconciliations including but not limited to: accounts receivable, allowance for doubtful accounts, revenue to cash reconciliations, and deferred revenue.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a successful Senior Revenue Accountant who wants to continue building their Accounting career. Key attributes are smart, passionate, creative and action oriented. * Licensed CPA, or working towards a CPA license (passed at least 1 part of the CPA exam), required * Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, particularly revenue accounting * Strong foundation and knowledge of software and SaaS revenue recognition according to US GAAP * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to rapid change * Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-based approach required * Experience with financial systems, particularly SFDC, Zuora, and NetSuite a plus, and highly preferred. * Advanced Excel skills
