Summary
VCA Animal Hospitals has a unique job opening for a Group Vice President (GVP) in our Central Region, which is composed of over 85 (and growing) general and specialty veterinary practices, located across the Midwest part of the United States. This senior leadership position is one of only seven Group Vice Presidents who oversee our veterinary hospital division, and report directly to our Vice President of U.S. Hospital Operations. States in this region include Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, Indiana, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Kentucky, West Virginia, parts of Pennsylvania and parts of Virginia.
Responsibilities
* The GVP of the Central Region will be responsible for all aspects of hospital operations within the designated group, and will lead a seasoned management team consisting of Regional Medical Directors, Regional Operations Directors, and other key team members. * This role requires a high degree of emotional intelligence, and the ability to balance the requirement for high medical standards with operational excellence.
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of 10 years' experience in multi-unit management with significant P&L responsibility, and experience with budget management, personnel management, team building, mergers & acquisitions and real estate. * Experience in the veterinary industry, human medical / dental industry or retail industry will be viewed positively. * To be considered, candidates must be willing to reside in the Midwest part of the country. * A minimum of 50% travel time should be expected. * This is a senior level position in a publicly traded veterinary healthcare company.

Additional Notes on Compensation

Salary is dependent on experience, but will be six figures plus bonus and annual equity grants commensurate with experience.
