External Assessment Project Manager

This position supports the administration of a large DoD program focused on Information Assurance (IA) and Computer Network Defense (CND). The organization is assessed by external inspectors from the Inspector General’s Office, DISA and other organizations multiple times per year. The position maintains situational awareness of the status of all artifacts to be inspected well in advance of the inspection team’s arrival and notes deficiencies which require corrective action. The position recommends solutions for areas requiring significant remediation to maximize inspection results and to increase the readiness of inspected networks and systems.

* Prepare for and manage external inspections, audits, governance initiatives and assessments as part of an integrated project management program * Develop and maintain a Project Management Master Schedule (PMMS). PMMS is a master schedule that details an overarching Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) strategy where all key activities/tasks with milestones and applicable timelines are identified for all assessments, inspections, audits, and governance initiatives * Coordinate with government and contractor personnel in sections to be inspected to ensure they understand the purpose and methods use for the inspection * Recommend and support the development of solutions for areas requiring remediation * Develop and update quarterly welcome packages for inspection teams * Facilitate the smooth function of external inspections, including the coordination of all required administrative tasks for inspection teams

* Top Secret clearance * External Assessment Project Manager * PMP * Strong written and oral communications skills * Experience with Sharepoint desired
