.NET Developer

Vail Resorts is the premier mountain resort company in the world and a leader in luxury, destination-based travel at iconic locations.

This position will have responsibility for software development of our custom point of sale and ski resort management application (RPOS). The RPOS application includes functionality that supports our pass and lift ticket sales and fulfillment, lift access scanning, ski school and more. This position will be primarily focused on the development of C# and .NET code as well as web services in a full stack development environment.

- Work as part of a highly collaborative development team where development and delivery are your highest priority. - Ensure solutions are architected in a forward looking manner aligned with our multi-year roadmap - Proactively identify opportunities to improve change control processes, quality processes, code repository standards and other development standards within Vail Resort’s technology ecosystem - Ensure all configuration and development changes follow the appropriate SDLC adhering to an appropriate controls and provide technical support as needed - Work closely with all stakeholders to identify opportunities to evolve the RPOS application to support business objectives - Provide technical operational support for the RPOS Application Ecosystem and ensure all compliance obligations are met throughout the software development life cycle

**Minimum Qualifications** - 2+ years software development experience in Microsoft technologies with experience developing in a SOA environment - 1+ years with each of the following: C#, .NET 4.5, SQL Server 2012, Restful Web Services/WCF, WPF, MVC and GIT - BS in Computer Science, Mathematics or other related technical or engineering discipline **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience in Scrum/Agile - Web / Mobile Development experience - Very strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills - Self-motivated and able to work in an independent manner - Desire to learn and evolve technology skill sets, patterns, and methodologies - Experience in a ski resort or hospitality field
