Human Resources Specialist

Vaco is working with a mid-sized, long standing Tuscaloosa-based company to identify a Human Resources Specialist/Manager. Our client has experienced significant growth in the past 36 months and is adding this position to their growing staff. The Human Resources Specialist will work hand-in-hand with executive management to develop, implement and execute HR initiatives at all levels of the company.

* Plans, manages and coordinates various Human Resource functions * Organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities * Recruits, interviews, and selects employees to fill vacant positions * Plans and coordinates new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals * Represents organization at personnel related hearings and investigations * Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as relocation service * Conducts training on company policy issues, and other issues as they arise * Counsels employees and other managers on various employee relation issues * Maintains technical knowledge and a current awareness of new Human Resource developments and techniques

* 5-10 years of progressive experience in a Human Resources position * Prior experience in Employee Retention, Benefit Management, Associate Relations, Training, etc * A Bachelor's degree is required and Human Resource certification(s) are strongly preferred * All applicants must have a high level of integrity and have a passion for helping others
