Human Resources Manager

Vaco is working with a mid-sized, Birmingham-based company to identify a Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager will work hand-in-hand with executive management to develop, implement and execute HR initiatives at all levels of the company.

* Plans, manages and coordinates various Human Resource functions and organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities. * Recruits, interviews, and selects employees to fill vacant positions. * Plans and coordinates new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals. * Will oversee the Payroll Manager for 300 employees, using ADP Payroll. * Coordinates record of insurance coverage, 401(k) plan, and personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations. * Coordinates safety and health requirements and compliance, including safety committee, safety training and preparing reports for insurance carrier. * Represents organization at personnel related hearings and investigations. * Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as relocation service. * Conducts training on company policy issues, and other issues as they arise. * Counsels employees and other managers on various employee relation issues. * Maintains technical knowledge and a current awareness of new Human Resource developments and techniques.

* 5-10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources * Prior experience in Employee Retention, Benefit Management, Associate Relations, Training, etc. * A Bachelor's degree is required and Human Resource certification(s) are strongly preferred. * All applicants must have a high level of integrity and have a passion for helping others.
