Summary
This position is responsible for the administration of the NetCommunity system used by UNLV Foundation for online fundraising, email marketing and web content management. This position reports to the Associate Director of Information Technology and Records for the UNLV Foundation and primarily serves the needs of UNLV Foundation and UNLV Alumni Relations. The position will provide programming analysis, application testing and implementation for the NetCommunity web content management system, which includes HTML/CSS coding; page maintenance and oversight; Java script development; development of new applications in consultation with end-users; and integration with social networking sites. This position will create a plan and a process to support the NetCommunity needs of UNLV Foundation and UNLV Alumni Relations to include e-communication, e-solicitation and e-engagement solutions and support and ensure that adequate security safeguards and user privileges exist within NetCommunity for the needs of the organization. He or she will collaborate with internal and external content managers, editors, designers, developers, and others to ensure sites meets both client and university needs. Align with branding, and meet university standards, create and maintain a site map and clearly define how NetCommunity is organized.
Responsibilities
* Create custom emails and templates * Create web pages including department, event and donation pages. * Optimize web graphics as needed for user experience. * Implement email standards including opt-in/out processes, email size, HTML standards * Test, deploy and evaluate online fundraising systems and methodologies. * Query lists based on specified segmentation criteria. * Utilize UNLV identity and visual standards. * Create project plans, ensure milestones are met and communicate project status to team * Maintain content libraries, instructions, and technical documentation. * Create and maintain a site map to clearly define how NetCommunity is organized. * Define and maintain email standards including opt-in/out processes.
Ideal Candidate
* Undergraduate degree minimum of 2-3 years related experience in web development and design, including experience in HTML, CSS, CMS systems, Photoshop, Illustrator, and WordPress. Previous experience with Blackbaud products and Drupal CMS desired. * Ability to prioritize simultaneous projects which support multiple units on campus. * Lead collaborations/design sessions with staff members from other campus departments in the development of NetCommunity functionality. * Maintain code and application libraries, instructions, and technical documentation. * Knowledgeable of cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility issues and challenges and an understanding of relational database design. * Keep current on emerging web development practices/technology and participate in long-range planning for the development of the alumni/development site, evaluating new systems and methodologies. * Excellent verbal, written communication skills and attention to detail. * Professionalism in all interactions. * Availability to work occasionally outside of the 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. work day and on weekends is required.
