Summary
The Prep Cook / Production Cook is responsible for food product and preparation for the Theme park and Catering events with strict adherence to established receipts, sanitation and health codes.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook product using all methods of cooking including but not limited to; roasting, baking, sautéing, steaming, using established recipes, portions and methods prescribed by the Company in a sanitary and timely manner. * Set up and breakdown stations according to Company guidelines and restock all items as needed throughout shift, while moving through various assignments throughout the shift. * Maintain a clean work area, including the washing of pots, pans and other kitchen items and taking out trash while following established safety standards and safe food handling guidelines. * Promote and provide extraordinary internal/external guest service; answer questions, offer information, and provide assistance in a courteous manner. * Understand and demonstrate the proper use of safety food preparation and handling practices and ensure department standards are maintained and safety policies for the Park are upheld. * Additional responsibilities as assigned. * Duties may differ based on assigned work location.
Ideal Candidate
* Must have prior work experience as a Cook, or Baker, or enrollment in a Culinary Arts program. * Must be 18 years of age or older. * Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs. * Must be fully available to work morning, and daytime, and evening hours; including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. * Must be fully available to attend all scheduled training dates/times. * An onsite culinary/cooking test may be administered to assess your knowledge and determine your eligibility.
