Summary
We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Messaging team to design and build our next generation of protection against SMS spam and phishing. As a PM, you will be responsible for defining the product roadmap, specing out the features, and planning & prioritizing sprints. You will work closely with engineering to design and implement the algorithms and with data scientists to measure the results. Successful candidates will have shown the ability to ship quality product in a fast-paced environment. We expect you to be able to work and communicate across the organization at all levels. It is particularly important that you have experience working directly with engineers and engineering management, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
* Own the product roadmap for our SMS spam detection platform. Be able to communicate both the business and technical rationale behind your product decisions. * Own the data analytics and dashboards that demonstrate the ever-changing attack vectors and the efficacy of your solutions. * Build efficient tools for Fraud Operations team to quickly identify, assess, and stop attacks. * Work closely with many stakeholders, including Engineering, Fraud Operations, Carrier Relations, and Data Scientists to bring your solutions to market. * Keep up to date on the rapidly changing mobile security industry. * Manage the business and technical relationships with commercial vendors. * Mock up concepts, write functional specs, cut tickets, write copy and do whatever it takes to express your ideas to our internal engineers, data scientists, and other product managers. * Think like a bad guy; anticipate ways spammers will behave and stop them in their tracks.
Ideal Candidate
* You have 5+ years experience as a Product Manager and/or Software Engineer with experience in fraud, spam, risk, or other forms of abuse. * You have experience with data analysis, statistics, and SQL. An understanding of the current state of machine learning a plus. * You are a person who thrives in a fast moving environment with a heavy dose of ambiguity. You should have experience shipping products in a fast-paced environment. * You’re hands on, passionate, and collaborative. * No experience in telecom is required. Do you love solving problems?
