Our Company

TTG started in 1955 with the names of Tharaldson and Matthewson, its two founders. Two additional partners, Argabright and Doby, were added in subsequent years. The company was incorporated in 1962; in 1978, the name of the company was changed to TMAD Engineers, combining the initials of the names of its founders. All four founders have successfully retired. TTG is a California Corporation owned by its active senior managers. During the late nineties and beginning of the new century, TTG acquired several respected firms, including: TAYLOR & GAINES, a reputable structural design firm which was also founded in 1955 and was accountable for designing hundreds of schools, hospitals, commercial, office, and specialized buildings; J.L. Hengstler, a respected firm for their expertise in the mechanical engineering of healthcare facilities; the structural engineering firm FYR, and the assets of the mechanical engineering firm Mathaudhu were also acquired in 2001. The company established itself in Arizona with the acquisition of the assets of MEP firm BVA Engineers in Phoenix. The Company expanded into Northern California in 2002 and added civil engineering services in 2003. In 2004, the Board of Directors decided to unify the strengths and image of the firm by merging all the names into a single name: TMAD TAYLOR & GAINES. In 2011 the Board of Directors abbreviated the name to TTG by using the first initials of the full name. The firm celebrated its 55th Anniversary in 2010 by emphasizing excellent quality and service to our clients and promoting our commitment to providing Proactive Services and Cost Saving Solutions. Continuing with the growth objectives, TTG acquired Goetting & Associates in 2009, a reputable MEP firm with offices in Austin, Dallas and San Antonio, expanding TTG into the state of Texas. In 2010, construction management services were added by acquiring the assets of TBI Associates. In 2011, TTG expanded its services by acquiring TST Denver, a Colorado based civil engineering firm offering water/wastewater treatment, municipal engineering and general civil engineering services. In 2013, TTG expanded once more by attaining assets of a Houston, Texas based firm, Advanced Technologies Inc., (ATI). Founded in 1994, ATI is an MEP consulting firm providing engineering and construction management services to public and private clients and specializing in energy related projects in the built environment.
