MSS Reporting Specialist of Special Operations

* Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports * Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality * Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems * Define reporting and alerting requirements Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets * Filter and “clean” data, and review computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems * Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs * Help design, document and maintain system processes * Locate and define process improvement opportunities * Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer * Some off-hours work may be required * Role is in a developing state so some work/roles may not be known at the current time

* Proven working experience as a data analyst * Interface with UNIX systems to research available information and support scripts * Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques * Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks) * Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing large datasets (Excel, Tableau, Microsoft BI, etc) * Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy * Solid experience in writing SQL queries, report writing and presenting findings * Basic knowledge in generating process documentation **Education:** * We prefer college-educated applicants, but at minimum, high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.
