Software Engineer Lead

Analyzing, designing, programming and testing TriZetto software programs and applications. Working closely with Product Design, Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Quality Assurance and Customer Support to assess, enhance, maintain and support software solutions to business problems. Using strong logic, computer language skills, combined with healthcare industry and practical knowledge, deliver and maintain applications and software providing comprehensive business solutions to the healthcare industry.

* Technical design and hands-on development taking ownership of product features or related application and system components * Assuming a leadership role in application design and code reviews processes. * Recommending and validating improvements in procedures as well as solutions for automating manual procedures. * Creating processes which facilitate knowledge sharing and team collaboration as well as acting as a technical resource for troubleshooting and solving technical issues. * Produce proof-of-concept software based on our tools, and to help set the technical direction for our product development * Working with Product Owners and other leads, identify technical debt, create a technology backlog * Troubleshooting and resolving technology issues

**Education:** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree. **Experience:** * Minimum of seven years' related experience. Healthcare industry experience is preferred. **Technical Competencies:** * Minimum 5 year experience Java and Java EE * Minimum of 4 years’ experience in web application development * Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS * Experience with Websphere and Tomcat required * Experience with Spring framework, Hibernate * Experience with relational databases like SQL Server and Oracle DBs * Experience with tools like TFS, Jenkins, Sonar * Experience with Agile Development Methodologies like Scrum * Detail oriented and a team player/leader * Experience having worked as an Architect is preferred **Behavioral Competencies:** * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Intermediate organizational abilities.
