Summary
Quality Assurance Analyst Working within established quality assurance standards, ensures high quality software is delivered in each release by designing tests which are valid business scenarios and performing manual execution. Reviewing and participating in grooming sessions in order to produce a test strategy and test cases and performing smoke, system, integration, functional and regression testing to ensure the software meets user expectations. Reporting, tracking defects, and creating bugs report using defect tracking system.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and participating in grooming sessions in order to produce a test strategy and test cases. - Reporting, tracking defects, and creating bugs report using defect tracking system. - Building, maintaining, and executing the regression test suite and verifying and communicating results to software engineering teams. - Performing various test techniques and test design methods to effectively test applications and detect errors. - Automating test scenarios using the existing tools and framework. - Gathering, clarifying, analyzing and participating in design reviews of business and functional requirements.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree. - Minimum one and one-half years' experience in the software development/quality assurance field including experience with issue tracking systems, test case repositories, testing in an Agile environment, deployment validation and activities and test driven deployment. - Familiarity with database management IDE such as SQL Server, Toad, and SQL Navigator. - Familiarity with XML data structure and web service testing tools such as SoapUI. - Strong understanding of SQL and back end (non UI) testing. - Understanding of software development methodology. - Strong problem solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communications skills. - Limited travel.
