Summary
The Associate Product Manager is responsible for working with our business development team and our rental suppliers to understand their needs and build features and functionality that help their businesses grow. You will advocate for the needs of stakeholders throughout the development process to ensure that what is delivered meets the original goals and objectives of the project. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in transitioning into product management from product or growth marketing, program management, business development or management consulting. You must have a desire to grow and develop your product management skills.
Responsibilities
* Interface with vacation rental suppliers to understand their needs, pain points, and key requirements for integration into our search engine. * Create detailed and comprehensive product requirement documents. * Manage the development process of key features which support the growth of our vacation rental supply. * Work cross functionally between the product, business development, and engineering teams to ensure clear communication across departments.
Ideal Candidate
**Requirements** * 1–2 years experience in product/growth marketing, program management, business development or management consulting. * Capable of listening to partner needs, aligning those needs with the company’s goals, and building a plan with the internal stakeholders. * Likes getting into the details of a problem and looking at all potential outcomes of a decision, doing competitive analysis and recommending a course of action. * Love for data. You want to get the data that will help you make a decision. You know how to leverage data to drive growth. You are interested in running multivariate tests. Big plus if you have experience with multivariate testing. * Strong writing skills. You can communicate your thinking crisply. * Organized. You’ve worked with teams in the past where you’ve had to organize the team to work well together. * Experience building something. You can demonstrate that you have enough experience in software development to appreciate the challenges engineering faces. * Experience reading technical integration docs to evaluate and understand how they will affect the integration process. * Detail oriented and always curious. * A degree in a quantitative field (e.g. math, econ, statistics, etc.) is a plus. **What You Need To Excel** * Intense desire to be part of a successful company from the ground up * A good sense of humor, an open mind, and a high level of integrity * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Love of travel and experience staying in vacation homes * Sense of adventure: willing to take risks, either for the adrenaline, or the experience * Native German speaker is a big plus
