Summary
In this role you’ll work closely with the Native Apps product owner to drive Viator’s native apps roadmaps, using your expertise in mobile UX and design along with your history of planning successful product releases. You are responsible for the development of product enhancements that improve conversion and user engagement and deliver improved results for the business. You will work with key stakeholders in marketing, sales and product functions to capture business requirements, plan product features and evaluate product performance along key KPIs. Your will drive new product strategy through identifying, analyzing and implementing game-changing innovations as well as improve existing product performance by using analytics to identify incremental enhancements. This is an important role, required to work across the business, from identifying business requirements through to interactions with the technical team to help achieve product delivery. The ideal candidate understands the mobile landscape, is an avid user of mobile apps, and is familiar with the opportunities and challenges of m-commerce. Responsibilities
The Mobile Product Manager will manage the Native Apps product development roadmap resulting in better usability, increased customer satisfaction and higher sales through: **Planning** * Monitor and measure the existing apps apps and feed learnings back into the team roadmap. * Provide input into team’s product roadmap * Think analytically about workflows and the impact of product features on sales conversion. * Gather requirements from internal stakeholders * Work with the UX team to gain insight into customer behaviors and roll those insights into product features and improvements **Execution** * Execute against the product roadmap * Own and continually prioritize the product backlog * Partner with project management to have clear project goals, deliverables and timelines * Communicate product and business requirements by documenting high-level requirements and user stories. * Lead a cross functional team including UX, design, and technical members to create elegant solutions to product issues and new product features * While not a developer, you should be able to speak to technical professionals about platform capabilities and possible trade-offs to product requirements * Collaborate with the UX and Design team to produce clear wireframes, workflows and visual designs ready for handoff to development and QA teams * Lead status meetings with multiple stakeholders across multiple time zones **Analysis & Reporting** * Quantitatively analyze new features to drive new product directions/features * Produce weekly and monthly reports to demonstrate project status, product success and sales trends
Ideal Candidate
**Work Experience** * 3+ years mobile product management experience * 2+ year as lead product manager on a live consumer facing, networked app. Strong preference for experience with both iPhone, iPad and Android apps. * Deep understanding of app design guidelines * e-commerce or m-commerce experience * Experience mobile analytics packages such as Flurry, Google Analytics, Site Catalyst or others * Integration of third-party mobile notification services * Social integration, a plus * Mobile Web experience, a plus **Communication & Management** * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Ability to juggle multiple projects with varying degrees of priorities * Strong track record of writing clear and concise product requirements, status updates and product results * Proven leadership skills to work with cross-functional teams and drive projects from concept through execution and launch * Experience working on a global team across multiple time zones **Technical** * Understanding of iOS and Android development standards * Experience with client-server networked apps including integration with content management systems and general API understanding * Comfort with tracking and collaboration software. We use Atlassian products, you will too! * Understanding and comfort working as a product contributor to an agile team * Not allergic to Excel formulas or PowerPoint slides * And some basic comfort with using our in-house content management systems. **Other** * Like everyone else, we love a good sense of humor * Though not required, a love of travel is a plus and extra points for great travel photos
