Summary
TRI-COR is seeking an in-house Sr. Systems Administrator to work onsite at Scott AFB. The person in this role will administer several critical information systems to include upgrades, patches, migrations and monitoring for overall server availability. This is a contract position which offers a comprehensive benefits package to include a competitive salary, 401K with match, medical, dental, vision, ST/LT disability, life insurance, etc.
Responsibilities
* Schedules, coordinates, assists, and oversees installations, upgrades, and maintenance. Performs initial configuration and setup of system; monitors system resources daily; makes recommendations for upgrades; and troubleshoots hardware, software, and network problems within the system. * Performs system tuning to enhance performance; develops backup schedules according to project and system requirements. * Tests new and updated operating system software, system file fixes and major product enhancements. * Reconfigures system and COTS software as required. * Configures project and user environments; adds, deletes and modifies user accounts and user groups. * Configures system security according to all appropriate security regulations and standards. * Creates a system disaster recovery plan. * Provides training and technical assistance as required. * Works closely with project office, customer, users, and vendors.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor of Science in a related field * Seven (7) years IT experience, 6 of which must be specialized to include 3 years in Linux/UNIX systems administration * IAT Level II (GSEC, Security +, or SSCP) * Must be eligible for a DoD Secret clearance * Requires experience in numerous highly specialized IT disciplines involving a wide range of hardware/software solutions with at least half of the required years in concentrated, hands-on experience in Sharepoint, Windows, Solaris or Unix systems administration. * Knowledge of Enterprise Information Management (EIM) * Environment - eRecords Management (eRM) based on Total Records and Information Management (TRIM) and the use of Task Management Tool (TMT), Evaluation Management System (EMS), AMC Dashboard (AMC-D) Support
