Audit Staff Accountant

Our Client, a National Certified Public Accounting (CPA) and Consulting Firm, has engaged TRC Staffing to identify, recruit and retain an Audit Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team. The Audit Staff Accountant will report to the Audit Senior Accountant. This role is open because of Firm's recent growth. In this role, the Audit Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing financial statement audits for the Firm’s technology, pharmaceutical and manufacturing clients.

* Participating in audit planning meetings to identify risks and schedule the timing of the audit * Performing financial statement audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) * Reviewing the Client’s financial statements to ensure Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) compliance * Creating workpapers to properly document audit procedures * Assessing internal controls, identifying weaknesses and making recommendations to management * Researching complex issues as they arise * Communicating pertinent information with the Audit Team and Client * Other duties, as assigned

* BS/BA, MS preferred * CPA or CPA Candidate strongly preferred * 1+ years of Public Accounting experience OR Audit Internship with a national form * Working knowledge of GAAP and GAAS * Ability to work in a team environment
