Senior Attorney

Make an impact using your legal experience to provide a full range of legal services to TransUnion Digital, a dynamic, high potential business focused on data-driven direct and indirect digital marketing and advertising services, with an entrepreneurial, fast-paced culture. You will work directly with the business, serving as lead counsel on strategic deals, providing day-to-day advice, helping launch innovative new products, and resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships. Additional duties include advising on privacy and regulatory compliance issues.

* Collaborate with the TransUnion Digital team to resolve strategic matters by proactively identifying and addressing legal issues. * Provide advice to stakeholders, including divisional counsel and TransUnion’s corporate general counsel regarding changes in law, self-regulatory principles or other issues that may impact the short or long-term strategic operations of TransUnion Digital. * Interpret, prepare and negotiate commercial contracts and other legal documents governing relationships with online and offline data companies, ad exchanges, ad platforms and other ad tech companies, as well as online advertisers and publishers. * Coordinate commercial and contractual issues with other groups (Finance, Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Security, IT) in furtherance of corporate policy * Monitor and provide guidance on applicable laws, including data privacy and other regulatory compliance issues * Develop and maintain contract templates, business processes and internal policies to help scale the business * Manage and coordinate outside counsel in support of company initiatives

* 7-10 years of experience in a major law firm or corporation as an attorney reading, interpreting, understanding and advising business partners on complex documents, including laws, contracts and company policies and procedures. * Experience handling complex transactional work in connection with online and offline data companies, ad exchanges, ad platforms and other ad tech companies, as well as online advertisers and publishers. * Experience ensuring compliance privacy and consumer protection laws, self-regulatory guidelines, Safe Harbor principles, COPPA, etc. * Provide legal and strategic consulting regarding how to “fit” data privacy components into the multi-faceted online ecosystem, as well as full transactional support. * Strong organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills (logic, problem solving, and decision making). * Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills. * Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills. * Ability to work closely in a rapidly growing, fast-paced dynamic team environment. * Ability to build and foster strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization while maintaining objectivity. * Experience in financial services and/or big data a plus.
