Summary
The Sales Director is responsible for the overall financial performance of the banking center with emphasis on retail lending, deposit acquisition and non-interest income generation. In addition to the management of the day to day banking center functions including staff and ensuring that the banking center is running in an efficient and effective manner. The Sales Director will be the Customer First ambassador of their respective Banking Center.
Responsibilities
* Supervises the day-to-day banking center functions including staff, sales, customer service and operations. * Assigns essential duties to employees to assure proper banking center internal controls. * Assists customers with any questions regarding all phases of the Bank’s services * Coordinates with responsible Area Retail Operations Manager to ensure that internal controls are maintained with a proper emphasis on operational issues * Proactively and reactively contacts clients and prospects daily by phone or in person to identify additional client financial needs and strengthen client relationships. * Maintains controllable losses at a minimum * Reviews and approves the timekeeping system of hours worked through EzLabor, for the non-exempt staff of the banking center. * Provides quality leadership, encouragement, and guidance to all banking center personnel. * Reviews daily reports pertinent to banking center performance such as the Summary Report and Daily overdraft and uncollected reports. This will include monthly overdrafts, loans past due reports and charge off memos. * Responsible for the following areas: a. Recruiting, Interviewing, and selections of banking center staff (Sales & Service Representatives and Relationship Bankers) and manage other HR matters including completion of performance evaluations, schedule training and disciplinary actions. * Participates in civic, government, professional, business, and community affairs, associations, and groups to solicit and to develop new retail business. * Must adhere to all TotalBank Policies and Procedures, security guidelines, banking regulations and internal control procedures. * Instill the TotalBank Mission, Vision and Values within the banking center team.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. * At least three years of demonstrated retail banking experience with emphasis in sales and knowledgeable of banking center operations, including internal control and audit functions. * At least two years in a supervisory capacity with demonstrated coaching and mentoring ability. * Excellent communications skills * Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. * Make appropriate business decisions and use independent judgment in a timely manner. * Must meet and exceed established sales goals of assigned banking center. * Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent client service and provide team support * Flexibility to work in any location within the TotalBank system and the banking center schedule. * Provides and maintains a professional and business like atmosphere within the banking center office. * May require bilingual skills (English/Spanish) in certain TotalBank locations. * May require lifting (coins, coin trays and boxes) up to a maximum of 25 pounds on a periodic basis * PC proficient in Microsoft Office applications. * Adhere to TotalBank’s Code of Ethics and all policies and procedures. * Valid drivers’ license and automobile insurance.
