Summary
The Line Producer is the facilitator between Director, Producer and Supervisors in ensuring the creative vision of the project can be achieved within the established budget and schedule.
Responsibilities
**scheduling** * Works with Producer(s) to prepare budgets, schedules and production plans. * Works with production accounting to monitor budgets and financial reports. * Evaluates script breakdowns to assess and assign cost of creative production. * Conducts meetings with team leads to ensure continued progress. * Defines and implements the production resources necessary to support the creative needs of the project. * Partners with Human resources to hire crew. * Works with Supervisors to manage the creative vision to fall in line with the budget and schedule * Communicates with department heads to assess day to day project requirements. * Creates and or works with production reports to present a weekly overview of the progress of all depts. * Ability to flag potential problems and provide solutions to fix them. * Responsible for obtaining and negotiating with vendors. * Supports and integrates the values of ToonBox that being a commitment to innovation, creativity, professionalism and inspiration. * Interacts respectfully and professionally with colleagues, other staff members, partners and clients. * Update and modify master schedule as required throughout production. Communicate changes to all applicable people. * Identify schedule variances and monitor changes incurred from approved production plan; recommend corrective action as necessary. * May be assigned responsibility for voice recording and casting. * Work with Supervising Producer to get clearance feedback and implement it. * Identify production issues and proactively loopback this information to production. * Liaise with Overseas Manager/Producer/Service Studio to ensure Input / Output requirements are delivered between studios. * Additional duties as requested. University degree or equivalent preferred.
Ideal Candidate
* Thorough knowledge of animation and CG production pipeline, including pre-production and post production. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; including Word, Excel and Outlook. * Exceptional communication skills are required as well as the diplomacy to balance the creative expectations with the financial resources available. * Must be solutions oriented. * Open to and encourages feedback and new initiatives. * Solid work ethic and positive attitude. * Flexibility and strategic thinking will be necessary. * Must act with determination and fortitude when tackling the unexpected. **Qualifications:** * University degree or equivalent preferred. * 6 – 7 years of CG animation / industry experience. * Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Production Management; preferably as a Line Producer. Preferably on a CG Feature film * Proficient in MS office suites including Excel and Word. * Overseas animation experience a bonus. **Salary Range:** $110,000 to $145,000 – Based on experience
