Summary
The New Product Introduction Operations Program Manager (NPIOPM) launches Tile’s products on time, with superior product quality and maximum customer availability. NPIOMP's are pivotal to the fast-paced development and launch of Tile’s products. A successful NPIOPM is a natural leader and facilitator; is dynamic, driven, organized and detail oriented; excels in program/ project management; communicates with ease at all levels; thrives in an ambiguous environment and is adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts. Furthermore, this individual is the team leader within WW Operations and the primary operations interface to the product development team and other functional organizations within Tile. Overall mission is a successful product launch defined by meeting stated schedule, availability and customer experience goals.
Responsibilities
* Lead Tile & Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) operations teams in planning and executing development builds & product ramp * Coordinating & tracking readiness/risks all ramp requirements: Equipment, Materials, Facilities & Resources * Manage operations communications, upward and downward through organization; escalate issues and present mitigation/solutions to cross-functional executive teams. * Influence product design, manufacturability, testability, and supply chain responsiveness in pursuit of low cost and maximum flexibility with focus on maintaining superior product quality. Communicate system requirements and schedules to facilitate technical readiness with cross-functional teams. * Develops project schedules based on the product requirements, technical challenges, tooling lead-times and business needs * Strong execution focus * Manage communication within and between hardware, software and vendor teams * Work with teams to set milestones, communicate project statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks * Work with project leaders to develop best practices and production processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment * Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables including specifications and test plans * Ensures project documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review * Engage with the various teams to identify, scope, constraints, dependencies, risk management and deliver global projects * Identify problems in advance and drive creative solutions to fix them * Able to see challenges before they arise, create plans to manage the tasks and alleviate the risks, and pitch in to execute those plans as needed * Identifies resources needed and works closely with the team leads to maintain full visibility of the project schedule and potential roadblocks * Coordinate communication with external hardware partners, contractors and manages communications around development from engineers to leadership * Organize prototyping and testing with hardware engineering teams and contract manufacturers.
Ideal Candidate
* Typically requires 7+ years experience in NPI Operations Management, Supply Chain or Product/Program Management * 2+ years experience as Manager in Operations/Supply Chain/Engineering function * Proven management experience with direct staff and cross-functional leaders; motivates team to continually push the limits of their capability and drive results * Results and detail oriented leadership experience required * Proven leader with hands on approach; self-motivated, proactive and results * Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present to management * Ability to drive solutions across multiple cross-functional teams, and the supply chain * Consolidate detailed and extensive cross-functional data into concise executive briefings * Ability to travel up to 35% * Technical expertise combined with in-factory OEM experience a plus * Education· BS/BA Degree required; Engineering degree and/or MBA a plus
