Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for creating, documenting, developing and implementing the procedures required to assemble, test, process and manufacture the products of the Company, in a manner that is consistent with the Fulton values and operating philosophy.
Responsibilities
* Manufacturing Processes - Designing and developing manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with a zero defect level and controlled product cost. * Production Documentation - Ensures bills of material, manufacturing drawings and work instructions are maintained accordingly. * Technical Training - Works closely with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, implement and document technical training for employees. * Global Product Consistency - Ensures products manufactured at multiple facilities maintain appropriate uniformity.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline * Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology Preferred * Minimum 5 years experience in a Production Management or Manufacturing Engineering Role **Physical requirements** * Travel - Work requires travel by car or airplane and includes extended periods of sitting. * Vision - Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, inspection involving small defects or welds, use and operation of machines, use of measurement devices, etc. **Required training** * Analytical Thinking - The ability to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic and sequential approach. * Thoroughness - Ensuring work and information is complete and accurate; carefully preparing for meetings and presentations, following up with orders to ensure the agreements and commitments have been fulfilled. * Results Oriented - The ability to focus on a desired result, setting challenging goals, focus effort on the goals, meeting or exceeding goals. * Fostering Innovation - The ability to develop, sponsor or support the introduction of new and improved methods, products, procedures or technologies. * Interpersonal Awareness - The ability to notice, interpret, and anticipate others' concerns and feelings, and to communicate this awareness empathetically to others.
