Summary
The Edinburg Center is seeking an Assistant Director - Developmental Disabilities to provide administrative coverage for 4-6 residential programs serving persons with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges.
Responsibilities
The Assistant Director will be responsible for the direct supervision of a 3-5 Program Directors. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring staff, oversight of staff performance reviews, identification of client needs, coordination and implementation of staff trainings, administration of personnel policies, and insuring staff meetings are conducted. The Assistant Director ensures all treatment planning is completed in a timely and accurate manner, that client charts are kept up-to-date. The Assistant Director participates in I.S.P. meetings, ensures the rights and entitlements of clients are respected and facilities are kept clean, safe and in good repair. In general, the Assistant Director ensures that all programs adhere to regulations. In addition, the Assistant Director initiates and engages in positive interactions with program and agency consumers, staff, consultants, day program staff, DDS staff, families and advocates. Five day work week and on-call coverage required.
Ideal Candidate
* BA/BS and three years’ management experience working with adults with Developmental Disabilities required. * Residential experience and behavioral programming preferred. * Master’s degree preferred. * Computer skills - MS Office, Outlook required. * Must have good verbal and written communication skills. * Valid MA driver's license is required.
