Summary

Tesla Energy is looking for an experienced technical Product Manager to lead the Site Master product. The Site Master is the control and communication system for Tesla Energy Storage Systems. The Site Master controls operation of the battery system and serves as management interface to local control applications and the Tesla Energy backend. You will contribute to cross functional system architecture, software system design, and rapid prototyping while bringing the UI components online step by step.

Responsibilities
  • Define product requirements and prioritize in alignment with broader business priorities
  • Interface with business team, customer solutions, system engineering, support and development teams
  • Prioritize and manage roadmaps for assigned products.
  • Review product usability including conducting early customer feedback and deployments
  • Contribute to overall system architecture.
  • Ensure validation and usability meets Tesla’s customers’ expectations.
  • HW selection, make/buy considerations etc
Ideal Candidate

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading embedded System Product
  • Working understanding of security standards and integration of mixed security domains
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • MS/BS degree in CS or equivalent
  • 3+ years of UI development experience

Desired

  • Experience with renewable energy products and/or electricity distribution systems
  • Working understanding of how grid tied storage systems function and interact with the grid
  • Experience integrating 3rd party data and UI elements and providing UI components to other parties
