Android Developer

TeleSign is looking for a strong Android Developer to join our team to build client applications and SDKs.

• Work on TeleSign’s Android SDKs

• Produce well designed and well tested production quality code.

• Accountable for complete development process; design, development, testing, and deployment.

• Participate in design and code reviews to help increase the quality of our products.

• Pick best technology for situation. The ability to tell the difference between cool and useful.

• Ensure best practices for building secure software are followed.

• Interact with Product Owner effectively regarding features and specifications.

Requirements:

• 3+ years development experience in Android development, solid knowledge of Android OS

• Knowledge of Android SDK optimization and performance tools

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to services

• Experience dealing with the fragmented Android ecosystem and proliferation of devices

• Understanding of development best practices and standards and mobile development lifecycle

• Strong understanding of AGILE and SCRUM methodologies.

• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills

• Experience developing server side REST-based APIs is a plus, using python is even better

• Familiarity with mobile security concepts and best practices a plus

• Solid grounding in git, Mercurial or Subversion Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
