Summary
The Director of Product Management Personalization sets the overall strategic vision for improving the guest experience scientifically through data. You will be responsible for shaping the future of a personalized shopping experience across Target’s digital channels. Backed by a strong team of engineers and data scientists you will drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution for personalizing the end-to-end commerce experiences across web and mobile. Using data and guest insights, you will build the product roadmaps and lead focused teams of UX designers and software engineers to deliver results. Responsibilities
* This is a high visibility, high impact role and requires a product leader and visionary who can connect the dots between the science of machine learning and the art of creating truly personal user experiences that amaze our customers. * You are intimately familiar with test and learn approaches but recognize that building great product requires the ability to balance numbers with intuition and vision for the long-term guest experience. * As you navigate into the white space, you will provide clear goals, a cohesive end-to-end strategy, and a prioritized feature set that balances short term and long term business objectives. * You have an intense data orientation and a familiarity with machine learning / personalization approaches and best practices. * You are comfortable with modern best practices of agile development, can articulate use cases, and user stories, and have the ability to clearly communicate priorities. * You are the “voice of the product” to all outside stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that the product team is getting any support it needs. * You oversee progress against product backlogs to ensure work and priorities are in line with product strategy and goals. * You make final decisions on any scope changes to prioritize key features. * You provide input and approve technology roadmap, with input from Lead Architect.
Ideal Candidate
* 7+ years experience, including 5+ in a product strategy role or requirements development role (e.g. BA or BPM). * 3+ years experience managing a team of 5+ people. * Ability to establish rapport, credibility, and influence in a highly cross-functional, matrixed organization. * Experience partnering closely and aligning with technical and creative teams. * Strong leadership, communication, prioritization and decision making skills. * Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and tech teams. * Track record in building product across mobile, tablet, and web platforms. * Experience with agile development. * Search and/or personalization domain expertise. * Data driven with experience in various testing methodologies. * Engineering or technical background (through experience or education). **Minimum Requirements:** * Experience with machine learning / personalization * E-commerce experience * Technical background preferred
