Graphic Designer

We are looking for a Graphic designer to plan, create, analyze, and interpret visual solutions to communications requests by various disciplines within the organization. The ideal candidate will find the most effective way to get messages across in print and electronic vehicles using methods such as color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques.

This position requires the development of the layouts and design of labels, POS, promotional displays, marketing materials for products and services, and design distinctive Brand assets. The Graphic Designer will develop and maintain material for websites, interactive media, and multimedia projects. This position reports to the Senior Graphic Designer.

• Create and maintain packaging design and sales support materials
• Develop and execute web-based promotions
• Assist in the development and maintenance of website and related initiatives
• Ensure marketing materials remain current and within Brand standards
• Maintain image library/brand assets for Sales & Marketing
• Research and execute new, cutting edge POS items
• Attend press checks
• Management of freelance staff as needed

• 3+ years of experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related field
• Package design experience
• Knowledge of computer-generated graphics programs and graphic design layout
• Ability to work on a MAC-based platform
• Must be familiar with Content Management Systems (Drupal)
• Intermediate knowledge of MS software – Word, Excel, Power Point, and Adobe CSS/HTML
• Knowledge of photography, printing procedures and requirements.
• Skill in rendering, illustrating and sketching, and in interpreting messages into visual and metaphorical form.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate ideas and opinions clearly & concisely
• Ability to execute design concepts from start to final production
• Ability to manage projects by exercising initiative and making effective decisions through investigation and research
• Ability to collaborate with end-user/team and integrate feedback in developing ideas
• Ability to multi-task; detailed oriented and strong organizational skills.
