Chemical Engineer

Leads development projects to introduce new technology into seeds processing and/ or CP manufacturing operations. Provides expertise in both existing and novel manufacturing technologies in order to maximise quality, capacity and efficiency outcomes during the scale-up of new formulated products to commercial manufacture, and to drive quality, capacity and efficiency improvement in seeds processing operations. Utilises subject area expertise within the process design of seeds processing and/ or formulation capital projects to maximise capital and operating cost efficiencies and process performance outcomes

• Works collaboratively with formulation and/ or seeds manufacturing site teams to resolve complex or high business impact processing issues and is the technology lead for implementing and embedding the solutions
• Proactively identifies opportunities to improve quality, capacity, cost efficiency and operational flexibility at processing sites, and is influential in promoting these opportunities with key stakeholders
• Maintains an external focus on new technology development, and identifies, evaluates and trials new processing equipment
• Build strong links into universities, trade associations and key equipment and technology providers, and leverages these links to capture full value from development projects
• Rigorously captures process development knowledge and learning, and proactively disseminates this learning throughout the function

Experience required

• Requires knowledge and understanding within relevant area which would typically be gained through minimum 2 years of relevant experience

Critical knowledge:

• Doctorate degree or relevant technical diploma or equivalent
