Responsibilities
- Liaison between Marketing, Sales, Art, Product Integrity, Legal, Engineering, Purchasing, Outside Resources, and our China Team.
- Manage the advancement of a product through all stages – ensuring that all relevant departments including Product Integrity, Art, and Marketing are involved and updated on product evolution through the process
- Comprehensive understanding of BOM’s (Bills of Material) for each product (existing and new)
- Identify opportunities to eliminate cost while maintaining design intent
- Communicate details clearly and effectively to ensure clear direction
- Direct designers to ensure design intent, aesthetic details, color palette, color ways, and construction & manufacturing direction are followed
- Consistently juggle tight deadlines and changing priorities
Ideal Candidate
- Must have 3 + years of consumer products experience (toys/soft goods)
- Be highly organized and detail oriented
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and strategic skills
- A working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
- High degree of conceptual ability, creativity and resourcefulness
- Negotiation and persuasion abilities
- Vision, leadership, good conflict management, energy, passion, and tenacity
- Bachelor’s Degree in product development, marketing, or related field of study
