Forklift Operator for Lumber

• Ability to operate 1200 Counter Forklift sit-down in a smooth and efficient manner while maintaining quality of work.
• Possess a strong understanding of production flow at the plant, and an understanding of equipment operation and maintenance.
• Capable of operating Log Yard Heavy Equipment of any size or difficulty to complete routine and complex jobs.
• Efficiently maintains production flow in work environment has basic understanding of heavy equipment mechanics and communicates with maintenance department on equipment maintenance and performance.
• May train or provide direction to other less experienced heavy equipment operators.
• Will have extensive experience and technical ability to operate all Log Yard equipment and perform Log Yard duties.

• Forklift certification preferred, but not required
• Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs
• Basic math and analytical skills needed
• Must pass the required pre-employment drug test and background check
• Flexible with scheduling
• Self-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative
• Prior lumber experience desired
