Summary
SRC, Inc. is actively seeking information assurance (IA) analysts to support our defense customer, the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate located in Rome, N.Y.
Responsibilities
* Evaluate security architectures and designs, and provide inputs as to the adequacy of security designs and architectures proposed or provided in response to requirements * Evaluate designs and implementations of existing and in-development systems to assess the security implications related to cloud architectures, open architectures to include large enterprise systems likely spanning multiple networks and/or security domains to include unclassified, Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI and SAP/SAR information * Serve as the subject matter experts and system security engineers providing cybersecurity guidance to system development project teams * Support program managers responsible for the acquisition of information security to ensure IA architecture and systems engineering requirements are properly addressed through the acquisition life cycle * Research and keep up-to-date on techniques and process improvements in support of information security and secure system design practices * Develop and maintain knowledge and expertise concerning accreditation standards and requirements * Collaborate with system development personnel * Provide guidance and ensure incorporation of IA within the system architecture at all stages of program development * Provide technical review and analysis support during the accreditation process * Provide technical information security support
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in communications, computer science, engineering or information assurance * Three to five years of experience as an information systems security manager, information systems security officer, information systems security engineer or other IA discipline * Knowledge/experience in assured engineering and enterprise architecture * Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar certification required * Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication (writing and speaking) skills * Sound knowledge of DCID 6/3, ICD 503, NIST 800 series and certification/accreditation * Experience dealing with 10 or more SAP/SAR programs **Preferred Requirements** * Experience with Xacta, vulnerability scanning/lockdown, A&A testing and documentation * Knowledge and experience with: design(s), conducting technical vulnerability assessments, computer system and network engineering, managing program information technology (IT) assets' configuration * Knowledge and experience with secure architectures, client/server technologies, web-based technologies, enterprise services, cloud-based system, the OSI model and the TCP/IP stack * Knowledge of DoD systems * Understanding of software and system development life cycles, Agile Scrum development, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) * Experience with Windows and Linux server operating systems and applications **Security Clearance Requirements** Must be a U.S. citizen. An active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and current investigation are required. Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. An In-Scope SSBI (within five years) and a U.S. government clearance within the last 24 months are required. The applicant must also have a current CI or FS polygraph or be willing to submit to one as a condition of employment.
