Senior Supervising Engineer

Spaulding Associates is a specialized search firm offering personalized service in the Power Engineering industry and for Software companies developing products for Cloud Computing, Network Security, Data Warehousing, Data Storage and Big Data solutions.

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering professional experienced in design, construction, field inspection and technical management. You will be engaged on preliminary through final design, preparation of technical reports, project estimating, facility surveys and project construction support as well as overall project management.

Candidates must have a background in electric utility and/or industrial work, especially for 5kV distribution and up to 69kV. Experience will involve providing engineering services to major local utility companies in either upgrades or new power distribution projects including utility interconnects, substations, and utility relocations. Additional experience in public/private main power distribution infrastructure for normal and emergency power is preferred. Proficiencies in integrating new equipment into existing electrical system, developing one-line diagrams, making modifications to voltage levels for equipment with increased capacity, selecting major equipment, detailing electrical material take-off, and estimating project’s capital costs are necessary qualifications required for candidate.

* BS in Electrical Engineering * PE license and at least 10 years relevant experience is required. * Excellent communications and abilities to function in a complex matrix driven environment are critical as are the ability to be client facing and maintaining good client relations. * Familiarity with electrical industry standards and codes are essential including NEMA, ANSI, IEEE, NEC, and state and local codes. * Candidates should be immediately able to legally work in this Country without sponsorship. * Preference will be given to local area candidates for employment in our New York City Office
