Director of Engineering

As Director of Engineering, you'll be responsible for building out the Engineering team, managing the technical development process, and driving forward our technical infrastructure. Your impressive skills as a technologist will allow you to own the Engineering Roadmap, architect a scaleable application, as well as lead the charge on automation and continuous integration. You'll get the opportunity to get your hands dirty while also managing and mentoring individuals on the Engineering team. You are well respected for your technical prowess, but take even more pride in the accomplishments and growth of the team. An ideal candidate for this role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and is able to balance solutions that are elegant and scaleable yet simple and pragmatic. You embrace the value of shipping rather than over-engineering.

* Working closely with senior management to define company and Engineering goals and roadmap. * Leading and managing the Engineering team in development processes and technical decisions. * Driving forward the creation of a scaleable application architecture and various automation processes including continuous integration. * Working closely with Engineering and Product teams to bring projects from conception to production.

* Extensive technical experience working on consumer facing web applications at scale. * Experience directly managing engineering teams and processes. * Passion for shipping daily and iterating. * Previous startup experience at similarly sized companies.
